Honda Jazz showing engine tray that fell off
 Engine Tray Falls Off
 New Honda Jazz Vehicles

CLASSIFICATION: Dangerous / Unroadworthy
• Subsequent to the first 1,000km free service, the front of the engine tray fell down and was dragging along the road. Vehicle had to be recovered on the back of a truck by Honda Roadside Assist.
• Subsequent to the 10,000km paid service, the rear of the tray fell down and was dragging along the road (again). Had to pull off the road early, book into a motel jack the car up and remove the tray completely in order to get home.

This is not a problem that is unknown to Honda. SEE previous reviews:

IS THIS A WORLD WIDE PROBLEM?

FUCK THIS
F@#~ This!!!

My wife bought a new Honda Jazz from Pacific Honda Gympie.
Having worked in the motor vehicle repair industry for most of my life and being 70 years old and retired, I thought my days of getting under cars was over.

I know why the engine tray keeps falling off. It's because it has never been installed correctly in the fist place:
• At the factory;
• At pre-delivery;
• At First Complaint;
• At First Service;
• At Second Service;
THERE ARE NO THREADS IN THE SUPPORTING SEALED CROSS MEMBER FOR BOLTS TO SCREW INTO.
SO IF STUPID PLASTIC CLIPS ARE USED INSTEAD,
THEY FALL OUT!!!
